Description
We are excited to recruit for a Machine Setter position within our Production team who will be responsible for setting up and maintaining the production line ensuring the efficiency of the line by minimizing downtime and maximizing the quality of output. If you are a motivated, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious individual with a passion for maintaining the highest standards, we want you to play a pivotal role in our production process.
Aztec Aerosols Ltd has been in operation since 1995 undertaking Aerosol Contract Filling for customers. Based on Gateway in Crewe since 1999 the site has grown in size and market presence. In 2017, the business was acquired by the Instarmac group plc, a privately owned manufacturing business, who are an award winning Times top 100 business who supply products to the Highway maintenance, Tiling, Commercial flooring and External hard landscaping markets to most continents across the world.
In 2021 major investment was made to the Aztec site in a new high speed filling line capable of up to 180 cans a minute, significantly increasing output capability to over 2.5 million cans per month. This combined with the support and investment the parent group can offer has improved production efficiencies, process improvement and ultimately customer experience.

Duties
Some of what you will be doing…
As a Machine Setter, you will be trained on all types of machines, from highly automated to more manual, so you can manage any line enabling you to be multi skilled and play a pivotal role in the seamless operation of our production line. Working over 4 days, Monday to Thursday (plus 2 Fridays a month if required) your responsibilities will include:
Production Line Setup and Maintenance: Take charge of setting up and maintaining the production line to minimize downtime and promptly address any operational issues.
Equipment Cleaning: Oversee and execute both automated and manual cleaning of equipment, upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and Health and Safety.
Waste Reduction: Monitor and reduce product and chemical waste within the team\’s duties, meticulously maintaining accurate records.
Materials Management: Manage the delivery and attaching of raw chemicals, gases, and hazardous materials to the line, ensuring readiness for efficient production.
Quality Assurance: Understand critical control points and ensure their continuous operation, contributing to the maintenance of top-notch product quality.
Record Keeping: Complete all relevant quality records with necessary sign-offs, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Fault Reporting: Fill out daily check sheets and promptly report any faults or issues to the Maintenance Team, facilitating quick resolutions.
Requirements

· Previous Production experience
