The role
Joining our Corporate Finance team
What is Corporate Finance?
Our Corporate Finance team helps clients solve critical financial and strategic challenges. From mergers and acquisitions to investment proposals, we support businesses through complex transactions and growth decisions. Strong communication, analytical thinking, and time management are key to thriving in this dynamic environment.
Your role in Corporate Finance
- Assist in end-to-end M&A processes, from deal origination and due diligence to negotiation and completion.
- Conduct financial analyses, including valuation modelling, financial statement reviews, and scenario planning.
- Work closely with clients to gather information and produce marketing materials for M&A processes.
- Collaborate with the wider Azets team to meet deadlines and deliver transactions efficiently.
- Support cross-functional teams (finance, legal, operations) in executing strategic plans for acquisitions and partnerships.
- Identify and evaluate potential target companies through market research and competitor analysis.
- Build relationships with industry stakeholders, private equity firms, law firms, banks, and advisors.
- Prepare and present investment proposals, business cases, and transaction updates to senior management and the Board.
Your Training & Support
You’ll receive structured training in financial analysis, deal structuring, and client engagement. From day one, you’ll be supported by experienced mentors and work on real transactions that shape business strategy. You’ll also build your skills in modelling, reporting, and stakeholder communication, with access to digital tools and guidance from our Corporate Finance experts.
Qualifications
We offer a range of different qualification pathways at Azets which are determined by the role you are applying for. The qualification that will be undertaken for this position will be ACA/ICAS.
