The role
The exact type of work you undertake will depend upon your experience and competencies but this role provides real scope to develop your existing skills. Subject to your existing level of experience, you will be expected to assist on audit jobs and assist with audit assignments within the team as required. You will also be required to prepare accounts for a variety of businesses. We have a fantastic study support package to offer. The firm will cover all tuition and Institute fees and you will also be entitled to paid time off for your studies, along with mentoring support.
Key accountabilities
- Work to assist with annual audit assignments for clients
- Provide support to your clients from an accounting perspective
- Work with more junior team members as a mentor to answer day to day queries and guide their journey
- Working both autonomously and as part of a team
- Ensure high levels of communication are maintained with staff, line manager and clients
- Complete your own chargeable time budget
- Being aware of expected utilisation % budgets and working towards delivering this
- Careful narration of your timesheet, capturing accurate analysis of work undertaken
- Ensure that all the hours worked are recorded on your timesheet
- Start the fee process
Skills & experience
- AAT qualified (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Your journey will continue via mentorship by the senior management team to provide soft skills development such as more effective client management and also steps towards staff management
