The role
We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Continuous Improvement team. This team plays a pivotal role in delivering enterprise-wide programmes and projects that drive operational efficiency, enable transformation, and support strategic growth. Working closely with our IT Solutions team, we turn ideas into reality through technology-enabled change.
The portfolio is broad and dynamic, encompassing process improvement, business transformation, and technology implementations. This is a high-impact role where you’ll lead complex projects that span both business and technology domains, working with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of high-value, cross-functional projects. You’ll collaborate with executive sponsors, senior leaders, and delivery teams to define scope, shape delivery strategies, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives. From initiation through to benefits realisation, you’ll oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring governance, stakeholder engagement, and financial control are maintained to the highest standards.
This role demands a strategic mindset, strong leadership, and the ability to influence across a cross-functional environment. You’ll also play a key role in embedding change, driving continuous improvement, and contributing to the development of project management capability across Azets.
Key accountabilities
- Lead the delivery of complex projects across business and technology functions
- Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with senior stakeholders
- Shape and implement delivery strategies using appropriate methodologies
- Establish and manage governance structures, including steering committees and project boards
- Own project budgets and financial performance, ensuring delivery within agreed tolerances
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change control processes
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor
- Collaborate with Business Change teams to ensure successful adoption of project outcomes
- Track and report on benefits realisation aligned to strategic goals
- Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, including third-party providers
- Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the PM community
