The Senior Sales Development Representative is responsible for creating high‑quality business opportunities for Azets by identifying, engaging, and nurturing prospective clients. The role focuses on both outbound prospecting and inbound engagement across multiple channels, including phone, email, social platforms, and events. This position requires a blend of practical execution and strategic insight. Key Accountabilities

  • Leadership & Stakeholder Management
    • Partner with Sales Managers and Directors to ensure smooth handover and effective progression of qualified opportunities.
    • Collaborate with Marketing colleagues to align outreach with campaign priorities and messaging.
    • Share market insights, prospect feedback, and performance trends with stakeholders to support decision‑making and continuous improvement.
  • Operational Delivery
    • Proactively identify, research, and engage target accounts across key industries (e.g., professional services, real estate & construction, healthcare, manufacturing, technology).
    • Execute multi‑channel outreach (phone, email, LinkedIn, events) to secure meetings with senior decision‑makers such as CFOs, Finance Directors, HR Directors, and Business Owners.
    • Conduct initial discovery conversations to qualify prospects against Azets’ ideal client profile.
    • Position Azets’ services effectively to address identified client needs and pain points.
    • Maintain high levels of outbound activity and consistently achieve weekly/monthly performance targets.
  • Organisational Design and Effectiveness
    • Contribute to the effectiveness of the sales development function by sharing best practices and supporting peers within the SDR team.
    • Help strengthen alignment between Sales, Marketing, and Business Development to improve pipeline generation and conversion outcomes.
  • Functional Operational Excellence and Innovation
    • Ensure accurate and timely logging of all activity, contacts, and notes in the CRM system.
    • Track, report, and analyse KPIs including outreach volume, meetings booked, and pipeline contribution.
    • Continuously refine prospecting approaches, introducing innovative techniques and tools to enhance results.
  • Strategy & Planning
    • Support the planning and execution of outreach campaigns aligned to Azets’ growth priorities.
    • Provide input into target account selection and segmentation based on industry trends and client demand.
    • Contribute insights from frontline prospecting to inform broader go‑to‑market strategies.

  • Qualifications/Technical Knowledge
    • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) preferred.
    • Strong understanding of outbound prospecting techniques and B2B sales cycles.
    • Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).

    • Proven experience in a Sales Development, Business Development, or Inside Sales role.
    • Demonstrated success in outbound prospecting and generating qualified opportunities.
