The role
As a key member of our expanding corporation tax team, you will deliver proactive tax services to a broad range of clients, including owner-managed businesses, large corporates and international groups. This client-facing role offers the opportunity to work closely with partners and directors, providing high-quality tax advice, nurturing client relationships, overseeing junior staff, and actively contributing to business development efforts.
Key accountabilities
- Oversee a small portfolio of key corporate clients, including their compliance process.
- Focus a large part of your time in supporting the Tax Partners to deliver tax advisory services to existing and new clients.
- Your role will include team responsibilities including line managing junior staff members and supporting their development through providing feedback, training and the appraisal process.
- Establish strong working relationships with your own portfolio of clients through assignments and regular contact, including attending client meetings.
- You will support the strategic direction of the team including representing the firm at networking events and helping grow the firm’s corporate tax services.
Skills & Experience
- CTA/ACA/ACCA/CA (or equivalent) qualified.
- Significant experience in a similar role within a practice environment is essential.
- You should be able to demonstrate strong client-focused abilities, work independently with minimal supervision, and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Good communication skills are required, with the ability to engage effectively with all stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Displays creativity and a proactive approach in identifying potential tax opportunities and risks.
- Our clients come from all industries, so exposure to multiple sectors would be a distinct advantage.
- Strong technical knowledge and the ability to carry out research into complex areas of tax legislation.
