The Opportunity

A unique opportunity joining our Tax team as a specialist Tax Advisory Director operating within the restructuring and M&A space. We can be flexible on location; therefore, this position could be based from any of our offices in Scotland, alongside working from home as part of Azets hybrid working.

  • Support Tax Partners to deliver high quality and reliable tax advisory services to our clients.
  • Establish strong working relationships with your own portfolio of clients through assignments and regular contact, including attending client meetings.
  • Lead in our client tax offering in the restructuring and M&A space.
  • Ensure we can deliver solutions to our clients when they are considering succession planning.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the firm in different service lines including Corporate Finance, Accounts & Business Advisory and Tax Compliance.
  • Ensure the successful implementation of restructuring arrangements, including MBOs, trade sales and EOTs.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience and knowledge in tax within restructuring work.
  • Confident dealing directly with clients, colleagues and tax authorities.
  • Comfortable delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong technical tax knowledge.
  • This role may be suited to someone currently at Senior Manager level and looking to take a step up, or already operating as a Director but considering a new challenge.
