How You’ll Add Value…
As a Refrigeration Commissioning Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering and supporting Azenta’s advanced automated sample management systems. These market-leading, density- and air-based refrigeration solutions are designed to support environmental compliance, reduce energy consumption, and improve operational efficiency for our customers.
What You’ll Do…
Commission and service ULT (-80°C) and -20°C refrigeration systems.
Deliver excellent service standards at all times, providing a first-class experience for customers.
Support project work as required and see assignments through to successful completion.
Act as a positive ambassador for BLS with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and external partners.
Investigate and understand client specifications and site settings to ensure successful delivery.
Work across both the projects and service divisions, contributing flexibly where needed.
Compliance
Ensure all relevant company policies, legislative requirements, and best practices are followed at all times.
Escalate non-conformances to the relevant manager and support timely corrective action.
Carry out site-specific risk assessments to ensure all safety procedures are considered and in place before work begins.
Report near misses and accidents promptly to the QSHE Coordinator.
Ensure PPE is fit for purpose and worn at all times during installation activities; any additional PPE requirements will be supplied via the Branch.
Maintain calibration and certification of gauges and equipment, ensuring all tooling is in date before use; if tooling is out of calibration, notify the Branch Coordinator so appropriate action can be taken.
Keep standard risk assessments, task procedures, and copies of training certification on file at all times.
What you will Bring…
A minimum technical qualification to HND level.
In-depth understanding of the end-to-end commissioning process and associated activities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence effectively, including at senior level.
A proven track record of success in a similar environment.
Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality, defect-free work.
A flexible, proactive approach and the ability to work on your own initiative with energy, assertiveness, and creativity.
C&G 2079 F-Gas Category 1 qualification.
C&G / NVQ qualification, or equivalent, in refrigeration systems.
CO2 trained / qualified.
Hydrocarbon trained / qualified.
A CSCS card would be an advantage; training can be provided if required.
A full, clean UK driving licence.
Working Conditions/ Schedule
This is a remote role with frequent international travel as part of the position.
You must be based within a one-hour commuting distance of an international airport.
