This opportunity will allow you to utilize and build your experience with international logistics, your understanding of incoterms, and your problem-solving abilities in order to help serve our businesses and customers.
Candidates should have a strong systems aptitude and working knowledge in global transportation carriers and services.
What You’ll Do Analyze freight contracts (ocean, air, domestic, international) and shipping routes to assist in contract negotiations.
Implement freight payment services for our international locations.
Request freight quotes from our approved carriers; Prepare and evaluate rates/proposals from a competitive standpoint.
Maintain contract rates and tariffs, including applicable surcharges.
Prepare and update rate summaries in excel.
Review and evaluate freight invoices for accuracy.
Work with our internal cross-functional teams, vendors, freight forwarder and carriers to make sure inbound and outbound shipments are booked and shipped timely, and in the most cost-efficient method, across our broad carrier base.
Provide internal customer support to Compliance, Supply Chain, Global Operations, and Finance.
This is specific to daily tracking, expedited shipments, product freight cost analysis and invoice approval.
Monitor volume and spending in all logistics categories and identify cost saving opportunities.
Ensure General Ledger coding of freight invoices is accurate.
Collaborate with freight forwarders and carriers on a routine basis regarding performance issues and resolution, or to file damage claims.
What you will Bring Requires a bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
