What you will be doing
- Manufacturing, assembly, calibration and testing of life science instruments, including rework and manufacturing of sub-assemblies.
Key responsibilities:
- Working to a production schedule assembling, calibration and testing instruments as per defined works instructions.
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed components.
- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
- Completes works order documentation and transactions on ERP system.
- Raises quality issues as required in accordance with Quality procedures.

- Experience working with electrical components including soldering.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, systems and following procedures required by the work.
- Understands and applies most principles, theories, concepts, and techniques utilized in the discipline.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Good organisation and prioritisation skills.
- Team player.
