The Test and Verification Engineer will work within a cross functional team on “new product development” and “research and development” projects. The successful engineer will be responsible for the system integration/development and validation of all Azenta life Science Automated Storage products. This includes:

  • Integrating, configuring, and developing system solutions including automation and robotics equipment.
  • Configuring hardware and software to complete various verification tests at device level including sub-assemblies.
  • Carrying out tests from component level to full system life cycle tests to assess reliability and suitability.
  • Serving as the primary technical interface (automation and validation specialist) within a cross-functional development team, providing support to Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, and Software departments.
  • Supporting and validating any quality investigations.
  • Working within a team or independently.
  • Creating and maintaining engineering documentation of test results for analysis.
  • Defining processes and test procedures.
  • Providing general supervision of work with assignments requiring thorough knowledge of technical or business discipline.
  • May be assigned larger projects as part of product development or continuous improvement process.

Qualifications

  • Degree or technical qualification.
  • Proven background in automation industry within a similar role.
  • Preferably servo motion control experience; training will be provided if not.
  • Logical thinking and methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Willingness to learn and tackle new technologies.
  • Excellent PC skills and report writing skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and Word.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Ability to record actions step by step to retrace steps when an issue is found.
  • Eye for spotting anomalies.
  • Proficient with tools, systems, and procedures required by the work.
