As a Software Engineer at Azenta, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining our innovative genomics informatics applications. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to design, implement, and enhance software features that support cutting‑edge research in genomics, making a meaningful impact on the future of life sciences.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain software solutions to support genomics applications.
- Execute testing and debugging routines to ensure high‑quality deliverables.
- Document development processes, test results, and project outcomes.
- Collaborate with customers to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues found in live environments.
- Partner with the core software development team to document and test customer‑reported issues.
- Contribute to project planning, budgeting, and scheduling when required.
- Develop creative solutions to diverse and complex technical challenges.
- Apply sound judgment within broadly defined practices and policies to determine appropriate methods and techniques.
- Engage frequently with internal teams and external customers.
- Occasionally travel to customer sites worldwide for installations, tool support, or troubleshooting.
- 2‑5 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
- Proficiency in C#, web services, and JavaScript/HTML5 development.
- Experience working with Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Intermediate proficiency in SQL.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong communication skills with proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
- Collaborative, team‑oriented mindset.
- Advanced database programming (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server).
- Experience with device controls and automation systems.
