Work within a cross‑functional team on new product development and research and development projects. The successful engineer will be responsible for system integration, development and validation of all Azenta Life Sciences automated storage products.
Integrate, configure and develop system solutions, including automation and robotics equipment. Configure hardware and software to perform verification tests at the device and sub‑assembly levels. Carry out tests from component level to full system life‑cycle tests to assess reliability and suitability.
Act as the primary technical interface (automation and validation specialist) within the development team, supporting Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing and Software departments. Support and validate quality investigations. Work independently or as part of a team. Create and maintain engineering documentation of test results for analysis. Define processes and test procedures. Provide general supervision of work requiring thorough technical knowledge. May be assigned larger projects as part of product development or continuous improvement.
