Job Description

What you will be doing:

  • Manufacturing, assembly, calibration and testing of life science instruments, including rework and manufacturing of sub-assemblies.
  • Working to a production schedule assembling, calibrating and testing instruments as per defined works instructions.
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed components.
  • Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Completes works order documentation and transactions on ERP system.
  • Raises quality issues as required in accordance with quality procedures.

  • Experience working with electrical components including soldering.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, systems and following procedures required by the work.
  • Understands and applies most principles, theories, concepts, and techniques utilized in the discipline.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Good organisation and prioritisation skills.
  • Team player.
