We are seeking an experienced Logistics Analyst to assist our global team in a full-time position. This opportunity will allow you to utilise and build your experience with international logistics, your understanding of incoterms, and your problem-solving abilities in order to help serve our businesses and customers. Candidates should have a strong systems aptitude and working knowledge in global transportation carriers and services.
What You’ll Do
- Analyse freight contracts (ocean, air, domestic, international) and shipping routes to assist in contract negotiations.
- Implement freight payment services for our international locations.
- Request freight quotes from our approved carriers; Prepare and evaluate rates/proposals from a competitive standpoint.
- Maintain contract rates and tariffs, including applicable surcharges.
- Prepare and update rate summaries in excel.
- Review and evaluate freight invoices for accuracy.
- Work with our internal cross-functional teams, vendors, freight forwarder and carriers to make sure inbound and outbound shipments are booked and shipped timely, and in the most cost-efficient method, across our broad carrier base.
- Provide internal customer support to Compliance, Supply Chain, Global Operations, and Finance. This is specific to daily tracking, expedited shipments, product freight cost analysis and invoice approval.
- Monitor volume and spending in all logistics categories and identify cost saving opportunities.
- Ensure General Ledger coding of freight invoices is accurate.
- Collaborate with freight forwarders and carriers on a routine basis regarding performance issues and resolution, or to file damage claims.
What you will Bring
- Qualification in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related discipline.
- Proven experience with International Logistics.
- Understanding of Hazmat Dangerous Goods shipping requirements essential.
- Experience working with Oracle Cloud.
- Experience working with Freight Payment Centers, advantageous.
- General knowledge of transport tariffs.
- Strong systems aptitude with a working knowledge in Global transportation carrier’s and services.
- Strong understanding of incoterms.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Ability to analyse data and utilise findings to make improvements.
Working Conditions/ Schedule
Occasional travel possible (not expected more than 10%)
