Job Description

Azenta Life Sciences currently has an opening for a Human Resources Business Partner based at our Irlam, Manchester site.

This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

The role draws on the strengths of a shared service model, partnering with Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Total Rewards, HR Information Systems (HRIS) and Payroll teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

Key focus areas involve supporting local and global management through talent development, cost analysis, performance management, and employee engagement.

You will work closely with management to implement corporate policies related to human resources, organisational, and employee development at both the business unit and division levels.

You will consult with employees and managers to address the root cause of employee relation issues, resolving through a systematic approach.

You will often be viewed as a strategic business partner, change agent, and an active member of both the local Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Employee Forum.

You will also participate as a speaker in the site’s quarterly all-hands presentations.

You will lead the local onboarding and offboarding processes for all employees, working closely with relevant departments to ensure a supportive, valued and seamless experience is delivered.

What You’ll Bring

You will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or hold a CIPD Level 5 qualification, with demonstrated success as a Human Resources Business Partner or Generalist.

Reporting into the Senior Vice President, CHRO, you will be a solid HR practitioner with the ability to build trusted working relationships across all organisational levels, while gaining and maintaining credibility.

You will be approachable, open, empathetic, and professional towards all colleagues.

An effective strategist with the ability to balance priorities and a strong track record of successful execution.

You will be data-driven and a critical thinker. Politically-savvy, influential, and proactive, you will be an articulate communicator and active listener.

A self-starter, you are ready to take on challenges that stretch your capabilities.

High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word is required.

Experience of using Workday is preferred.

Experience in a Manufacturing and/or Life Sciences environment is preferred.
