The Marketing Manager Industrial Chemicals EMEA is responsible for defining and steering marketing strategies and activities across CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, Elastomers), AMA (Advanced Materials & Additives) and Performance Chemicals segments in the EMEA region.
A key part of the role is to stay at the forefront of industry dynamics, continuously tracking and interpreting market trends, innovations and regulatory developments.
By translating these insights into compelling reports, campaigns, and content, (s)he drives customer engagement, strengthens principal partnerships and oversees marketing execution across EMEA in close collaboration with Market Segment Director, local marketing teams, labs, principal managers and the sales organisation.
Your role in practice: main accountabilities
- Define, align, and lead the development of EMEA annual marketing plans for CASE, AMA and Performance Chemicals market segments, ensuring consistency with business priorities and principal expectations.
- Continuously analyse and interpret market dynamics, competitor strategies, customer needs and regulatory developments within the assigned EMEA segments.
Translate these into high-quality insights reports and presentations that inform principals, guide sales strategies, inspire lab innovation, and support customer engagement.
- Collaborate with Market Segment Directors and sales leaders to define customer profiles, value propositions, buying journeys and segmentation strategies.
- Partner with labs to brief on trend-driven formulations, promote lab innovations and ensure technical content is reflected in marketing activities.
- Steer joint initiatives with principal managers to promote strategic product lines, and ensure structured performance reporting that strengthens principal relationships.
- Oversee and guide local marketing specialists active in the same market segments, ensuring alignment, best practice exchange and consistent, high-quality campaign execution across EMEA.
- Lead the planning and execution of EMEA-level campaigns such as webinars, trade shows, digital activations, articles and email campaigns to engage customers and promote principal innovations.
- Work with the EMEA Digital team to define standards and processes for marketing campaign execution, content development and performance measurement.
- Contribute actively to the EMEA Marketing team by sharing best practices, co-developing processes, and supporting cross-segment initiatives.
Experience & Education
- Experience: 7–10 years of marketing experience in B2B industries, ideally in chemicals, within one or more market segments that the role supports.
Experience within chemical manufacturer or chemical distributor is considered a plus.
- Proven track record of leading integrated B2B marketing campaigns, supporting principal partnerships and delivering measurable business impact.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or Business Administration (or equivalent by experience).
- Technical skills: Expertise in digital marketing tools (Google Analytics, SEO/GEO, Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, Storyblok), event and campaign management.
Experience using AI tools in marketing workflows (e. g., content creation, campaign optimisation, analytics) is strongly valued.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to deliver persuasive content for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Soft skills: Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills in a matrix environment; analytical and strategic mindset; creative and proactive problem solver; team player with ability to balance hands‑on execution and leadership.
- Extra: Fluency in English (oral and written) required; other European languages are an advantage. Willingness to travel occasionally within EMEA.
