We’re looking for an experienced Procurement Category Lead to join the Ayvens team on a permanent basis at our Lyde Green, Bristol (BS16 7LB) office. You’ll help deliver the UK procurement strategy across core categories and support the ongoing integration of procurement across Ayvens.

You’ll own the end‑to‑end sourcing strategy for assigned procurement categories, building strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver value for money, consistent service and responsible sourcing. You’ll support the development of Procurement as a trusted centre of excellence and ensure policies, processes and best practice are embedded across the business.

Key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
  • Own and deliver sourcing strategies across assigned procurement categories.
  • Manage category pipelines, contract renewals and harmonisation activity to deliver efficiencies and synergies.
  • Build strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Support the integration of procurement through embedding new policies, processes and ways of working.
  • Act as part of a UK procurement shared service, supporting wider sourcing and supply chain needs.
  • Develop strong relationships with Group procurement colleagues to support planning, forecasting and commercial outcomes.
  • Maintain market awareness and share insight on industry trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure procurement activity complies with risk, compliance and governance requirements.
  • Use spend data and MI to provide insight, support decision‑making and strengthen controls.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across sourcing, contracts and supplier management.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Procurement or supply chain management experience, including category management or contracts.
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Self‑starter with excellent organisation and planning capability.
  • Able to work at pace and manage competing priorities.
  • Strategic and innovative thinker with a strong delivery focus.
  • Commercially and financially astute, with experience managing complex or high‑value spend.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and change delivery.
  • Experience working in a multi‑stakeholder environment.
  • Strong written skills with the ability to produce professional business documents and proposals.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of the automotive, leasing or operational supply chain sector is highly advantageous.
