The mission of the Risk & Compliance division is to nurture a mature risk and compliance environment which enables good outcomes, responsible risk taking and informed decision making, as well as providing assurance to our colleagues, customers and stakeholders.
As a result of growth we’re currently seeking an additional Credit Risk Analyst to join our Bristol based team, reporting to the Credit Risk Manager (Portfolio).
Purpose- Ensure the business continues to lend responsibly and the portfolio is managed within agreed risk appetite.
- Support the ongoing optimisation of credit risk policies and strategy by producing analysis and insight into current portfolio and market trends.
- Contribute to a data-led ethos in decision making within the business.
- Support the Portfolio team in the analysis and assessment of existing and emerging credit risks.
- Monitor and optimise the credit strategy, credit risk appetite and policies, across the credit lifecycle, to ensure these remain robust and aligned to strategic objectives, Ayvens Group standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and monitor key performance drivers and portfolio forecasts.
- Perform monitoring for portfolio-level activities, such as limit and exposure management, concentration risk management and default management.
- Produce management information and ad-hoc analysis, providing insight to senior management and the wider business.
- An analytical, detail-orientated and inquisitive mind-set, focussed on pragmatically solving real-world problems, and demonstrated with experience in a previous analytical role.
- Refined communication skills, both verbal and written, and an ability to tailor this to simplify complex topics for a broad audience.
- Driven to continually develop professional knowledge and skills, and adept at researching and applying new techniques or technologies.
- Demonstrates professionalism, integrity and honesty in all work activities. Demonstrates resilience when faced with challenging situations. Able to empathise whilst remaining impartial.
- High standard in IT literacy including office applications.
- Demonstrable coding experience, and knowledge of SAS/SQL/Python preferable.
- Highly numerical background in relevant area, such as statistics or business.
- Demonstrable interest in modelling, analytics or economics preferable.
- A degree in a STEM subject or related field preferable.
