We’re looking for an experienced and driven People Services & Support Manager to lead our HR operational delivery. This is a key role within our HR function, responsible for ensuring high-quality, consistent and compliant people services across the entire employee lifecycle. You’ll lead a customer‑focused team, act as a trusted expert in employee relations, and drive continuous improvement across people processes, systems and service delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead People Services delivery across onboarding, contractual changes, payroll, benefits and leavers, ensuring a seamless colleague experience.
- Act as the first point of contact escalation for HR queries, ensuring responsive, high-quality support for managers and employees.
- Oversee payroll delivery via a third‑party provider, managing performance, accuracy and compliance.
- Provide expert leadership on employee relations, ensuring fair, consistent and legally compliant outcomes.
- Lead, coach and develop the People Services & Support team, fostering a high‑performing, customer‑centric culture.
- Own HR systems and data integrity, ensuring accuracy, governance and effective use of technology.
- Use MI, SLAs and insights to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement, including leveraging digital and AI‑enabled solutions.
- Ensure risk, compliance and governance standards are met across all people operations.
- Support the smooth delivery of organisational change, working closely with HR Business Partners and key stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience leading a People Operations / HR Services function in a complex organisation.
- Strong expertise in employee relations, including complex case management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams in a service‑driven environment.
- Solid knowledge of UK employment law, compliance and risk management.
- Experience delivering end‑to‑end employee lifecycle processes.
- Strong understanding of HR systems (e.g. Workday or similar) and data management.
- Skilled in using data and service metrics to improve performance.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to translate policy into practical guidance.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple demands in a fast‑paced environment.
- CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience).
