Ford Fleet Management UK Ltd (FFM) is a collaboration between Ford and Ayvens to create a new entrant in the leasing and fleet management market. The Finance function of FFM is performed by the Ayvens Finance team on an outsourced basis. The dedicated FFM Finance department is responsible for accurate financial reporting including the production of financial statements, tax reporting, financial and strategic planning, and management accounts reporting.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the monthly management accounts preparation and analyse key variances against prior period and budget.
- Control intercompany transactions and group reporting.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations as a key control to ensure accuracy of monthly reporting.
- Perform allocated monthly processes such as flexible billing or review of internal controls.
- Take ownership of accounting for overhead costs, including posting monthly accrual and prepayment journals and reviewing/challenging costs rebilled from ALD to FFM.
- Develop and maintain clear management information for distribution and presentation to key stakeholders, including the FFM Board of Directors.
Skills, Experience & Background
- Professional accountancy qualification (minimum AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA/CIMA part-qualified).
- Proven experience in a similar finance focussed role.
- Competent user of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, nested formulas, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, IF, SUMIF, SUMPRODUCT etc.).
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently, asking for support or input from line manager and colleagues wherever required.
- Experience in managing and communicating with stakeholders outside the Finance team.
- Appetite to further develop technical accounting and industry knowledge.
- Exposure to or desire to learn technical programming languages e.g. SAS, SQL, VBA, Crystal Reporting, Power BI.
