Procurement is a core strategic function within Ayvens, helping manage external spend, strengthen supplier relationships and ensure robust risk and compliance standards. Weâre looking for a Procurement Lead (Business Partnering) to support the business on indirect spend, acting as a trusted point of contact and helping stakeholders navigate procurement efficiently and compliantly.
Youâll work closely with teams across the business to understand their requirements, provide practical procurement advice, and help manage supplier onboarding, renewals and dayâtoâday queries. Youâll also play a key role in coordinating work delivered by the Group Shared Service Centre (SSSC) and improving how procurement operates. This is a handsâon role with strong exposure to stakeholders, systems, processes and change.
The key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Act as a dedicated Procurement business partner for indirect spend across the Ayvens UK business.
- Be the first point of contact for procurement queries, providing clear advice and guidance.
- Gather business requirements and help shape clear, compliant action plans.
- Support supplier onboarding, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
- Take a lead role in managing work delivered by the Shared Service Centre, including priority renewals.
- Coordinate workflows and maintain accurate tracking of activity for reporting and prioritisation.
- Help embed strong procurement policies, processes and controls across the business.
- Support risk and compliance standards, including supplier performance updates.
- Produce and maintain operational reporting to highlight risks, efficiencies and improvements.
- Contribute to procurement communications and engagement across the business.
- Act as the âvoice of the customerâ to improve policies, processes and ways of working.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Well organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working at pace and meeting agreed deadlines.
- Confident working independently and as part of a team.
- Commercially and financially aware, with experience handling spend data.
- Good analytical and reporting skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Competent user of Microsoft tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience in procurement, supply chain or an operational role.
- Exposure to change or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience working in a regulated environment is advantageous.
- Understanding of automotive, leasing or operational supply chains is advantageous.
