Procurement is a core strategic function within the Operations & Remarketing division, playing a key role in managing external spend, strengthening supplier relationships and ensuring robust governance. Weâre looking for a Procurement Manager (Monitoring & Control) to lead policy, risk and supplier governance across the UK business.
Youâll own the design and implementation of procurement policies, procedures and controls, ensuring the team operates efficiently and in line with Group standards. Youâll lead procurement risk and compliance activity, support outsourcing oversight, and help develop strong supplier management practices across the business.
The key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Own and embed UK procurement policies, procedures and processes, ensuring compliance with Group standards
- Lead and develop the procurement risk and compliance team, supporting capability and career development
- Design and manage risk and compliance monitoring across Procurement, including remediation activity
- Act as subjectâmatter expert for procurement policies, controls and assurance activity
- Lead supplier management best practice, including upskilling business owners and strengthening oversight
- Oversee Procurementâs role in outsourcing, including reviews and ongoing supplier management
- Drive sustainability and ESG initiatives across the procurement and supplier base
- Provide insight through spend, compliance and performance reporting to inform decisionâmaking
- Design and implement quality standards to improve efficiency and service delivery
- Build strong relationships with Risk and Compliance stakeholders at local and Group level
- Support innovation, change and integration activity across Procurement and Group programmes
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience leading teams within procurement, risk or supply chain environments
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Highly organised, able to work at pace and deliver against clear objectives
- Experience leading change and continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong procurement or supply chain management experience
- Sound understanding of risk, compliance and governance in a regulated environment
- Commercially and financially astute, with experience managing large spend profiles
- Strong analytical and reporting capability
- Confident using Microsoft Office and producing professional business documentation
- Experience working in heavily regulated sectors (essential)
- Knowledge of automotive, leasing or operational supply chains (desirable)
- Strong commitment to sustainability and responsible sourcing
