This is a senior role within the Financial Planning & Analysis team, playing a key role in driving the financial performance of the organization by partnering with specific departments to provide timely financial insights, analysis, and strategic guidance. As the Finance Business Partner, you will spend a significant proportion of your time within the business, interacting regularly to build and sustain trust, ensuring they keep strategic oversight of all agendas.
Initially offered as a Fixed Term opportunity to cover parental leave until July 2027, this role offers a competitive remuneration package including generous contributory pension, eligibility for an annual bonus and EV (Car).
Primary Objective- Provide financial insights, analysis, and guidance to support the achievement of business objectives.
- Partner with senior leadership, department heads, and other key stakeholders within the business to develop an understanding of the long-term strategy of the business areas they are asked to support, considering the strategies of both the wider department and overall business vision to then drive financial accountability and performance improvement initiatives.
- Build effective working relationships with key stakeholders, working collaboratively with teams across the organisation and actively participating in strategic initiatives.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with department heads and senior management to understand business objectives and provide financial support and analysis to drive decision-making.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of financial data, including but not limited to budgets, forecasts, and financial statements, to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Strategic Planning: Assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans by providing financial expertise and insights into potential risks and opportunities.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate and timely financial information, collaborating with stakeholders to set financial targets, and monitoring performance against targets. Development of financial models.
- Performance Monitoring: Using Power BI dashboards, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to assess performance against objectives and identify areas for improvement.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management and key stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, enhance financial controls, and improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned, providing financial expertise and support as needed.
- Proven extensive experience in finance, accounting, or a related field, with demonstrated experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ability to optimise the use of data from multiple sources and triangulate it into digestible and actionable formats.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on driving business results and adding value to the organization.
- Self-starter with the ability to take the initiative and work pro-actively.
- Planning, prioritising and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced and complex environment.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial modelling, experience of working with ERP systems such as SAP/Oracle.
- Expert user of Microsoft Excel (comfortable with pivot tables, nested formulas, key functions including VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, IF, SUMIF, SUMPRODUCT etc.).
- Expert user of dashboard tools such as Power BI.
- Experience of IFRS 9, 15, 16 in particular and in all IFRS in general.
- Providing professional finance services to senior stakeholders and influencing business decisions.
- Building, maintaining and leveraging collaboration networks and partnerships.
- Financial service or leasing industry background.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
