Responsibilities:

  • Massaging and manipulating patients to discover the cause of pain, relieve discomfort, restore function and mobility, and correct irregularities in body structure using specialised Indian Ayurvedic therapeutic treatments and massage techniques.
  • Performing treatments and massages using herbs, oils, powders and other natural materials/decoctions.
  • Administering traditional Ayurvedic treatments such as Pizhichil, Navarakizhi, Shirodhara, Abhyanga, Udvarthana, Panchakarma, etc., as well as other authentic Ayurvedic clinical procedures and examinations.
  • Conducting thorough consultations, developing personalised treatment plans, monitoring and evaluating patients’ progress, and maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Ensuring infection‑control protocols are followed in all aspects of patient care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Providing guidance on lifestyle modifications, diet, exercise and stress management, and educating patients on Ayurvedic principles and self‑care.
  • Training and supervising junior staff, upholding hygiene and safety standards, and delivering a high‑quality, personable service to clients.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Recognised qualification in Ayurvedic / Panchakarma Therapies or Nursing.
  • Valid certification or licence as an Ayurvedic Physician.
  • Strong knowledge of Ayurvedic principles, practices and therapies, including Panchakarma procedures.
  • Experience of at least one year in Ayurvedic therapy.
  • Excellent customer‑service skills, communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work in a relaxed, flexible environment – full‑time or part‑time, 20–48 hours per week.
  • Must be based in the UK; applicants from elsewhere are not considered.

Salary & Benefits:

Salary starts at £25,000–£25,500 per year; up to £38,500 per year; pro‑rata basis for part‑time. Benefits include: commission pay, performance bonus, yearly bonus, free/on‑site parking, sick pay, transport links and weekend availability as required.
