An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our enthusiastic and friendly practice as a maternity locum. We are looking for cover for 6 sessions with working days of a Monday, Thursday and a Friday from July.
Stewarton is a growing commuter town within easy reach of Glasgow (15 minutes from Silverburn) with excellent road and rail links. We are the sole practice in the area with a list size of 11,000 patients and low deprivation. We are a semi‐rural practice but within 15 minutes drive of University Hospital Crosshouse, Kilmarnock.
Our team is really important to us, so GP workload is carefully managed. GPs have 25 appointments each day and these are predominantly face‐to‐face with a combination of pre‐bookable and on‐the‐day appointments. We are very flexible in terms of how the appointments are organised.
Each day we also have a duty GP/ANP who conducts home visits and attends to any urgent matters that require attention.
Our friendly expanding team includes nine GPs, two ANPs, two Practice Nurses and an extended MDT including DNs, HVs, CTAC, HCSW, Pharmacy team, Physiotherapist, MHP, Community Link Worker and a Financial Inclusion Officer. We are a dedicated and supportive team who work well together providing high quality care to our patients.
We would be happy to meet you informally to show you our Practice and answer any questions you have.
