We are a busy and friendly GP practice looking for a reliable and organised person to join our reception/administration team.

Hours: 20 hours per week across 4 days. Flexibility is essential—the role will include covering annual leave and sickness, and occasional changes to working days/hours.

Main duties include:

  • Greeting and assisting patients at reception
  • Answering telephone enquiries and booking appointments
  • Processing prescriptions and clinical correspondence
  • Updating patient records accurately
  • General administrative tasks to support the clinical team

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is flexible and able to provide cover at short notice when needed
  • Has excellent communication and people skills
  • Remains calm and professional in a busy environment
  • Maintains strict confidentiality
  • Has good IT skills and attention to detail
  • Works well independently and as part of a team

Previous GP/medical reception experience is desirable but not essential—full training will be provided. This role would suit someone local who can adapt their availability when required. The successful candidate must be in a position to work flexible hours on a rota basis between 8am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday.
