An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic experienced, or newly qualified GP to join our friendly well-established and supportive training Practice (currently FY2 training Practice with an aspiration to GP Training). We are a semi-rural Practice based in the modern, purpose-built Community Hospital in the coastal town of Girvan.
Our Team consists of 3 GP Partners, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 ANP and 7 administration staff serving a Practice population of around 4459 patients. We participate in an in-hours Rota for the provision of medical cover for the Minor Injuries Unit and 20 In-Patient Bedded Community Hospital.
The role will involve normal clinical duties, which include:
- 15 minute Face to Face appointments
- Telephone Triage
- Occasional home visits
- Participation in in-hours cover of the Community Hospital MIU and Ward
Participation in Extended Hours provision is optional. GP specific clinical interests will be encouraged and supported. The Practice uses EMIS and Docman software. We hold regular PBSGL sessions for all clinical staff.
The Practice is well supported by our CTAC Team consisting of 1 Nurse and 1 Health Care Support Worker. We also have our wider Multi-Disciplinary Team which comprises District Nursing Services, a General Practice Clinical Pharmacy Team, an Advanced Physiotherapist Practitioner, a Mental Health Practitioner, a Community Links Worker, an Occupational Therapist and a Community Phlebotomy Service.
