Due to retirement we are seeking a friendly, organised and patient focused Medical Receptionist to join our busy GP Practice. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day to day running of the practice.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming patients in person and responding to telephone calls courteously and efficiently
- Booking, amending and cancelling appointments using the clinical system
- Managing patient queries and signposting appropriately
- Handling correspondence, prescriptions and general administrative duties
- Workflow optimisation via Docman system
- Supporting clinicians and colleagues as part of a collaborative practice team
- Adhering to confidentiality, GDPR and practice policies at all times
