We are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our client, on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will become part of a local business offering nationwide services, specialising in the design, manufacture, supply, and installation of secondary steelwork and architectural metalwork solutions for the construction industry. Their expertise includes delivering turnkey services, with a focus on feature staircases, balustrades, and handrails in various materials and finishes. The Welder/Fabricator will be tasked with welding and fabricating structural and architectural steel, ensuring the production of high-quality work. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to achieving a flawless cosmetic finish are crucial for this role.

Key Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
  • Solid understanding of MIG and TIG stainless steel and aluminium welding techniques
  • Experience using workshop hand tools and machines
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus
  • Able to work as part of a team and follow instructions
  • Driving Licence

Additional Information:

  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Permanent, office-based position at our Kilmarnock location.
  • Opportunity for overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.
  • Core weekly hours will be Monday - Friday, 7am - 3.30pm.
