An opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Support Worker based at University Hospital Crosshouse.

What You Will Do

  • You will be required to work as part of a multidisciplinary team within the Gynaecology Department, which includes Gynaecology Ward, Gynaecology clinics at Ayrshire Central, and Outpatient Gynaecology.
  • You will be under the supervision of a registered nurse, providing specialist gynaecology services for the women of Ayrshire, ensuring the patient’s emotional and mental wellbeing both during and after intimate examination, giving careful and full consideration to confidentiality and health and safety matters.

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The Job

  • Record patient observations and BMI.
  • Carry out chaperone duties.
  • Have effective communication skills.
  • Carry out a range of delegated patient care tasks e.g. venepuncture, blood pressure monitoring, pregnancy testing, and BMI.
  • Maintain stock demonstrating a good awareness of cost efficiency and safety e.g. ordering stores.

22.5 per week

UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership

UK Car licence/Car ownership is essential to this role.
