An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and innovative Band 7 Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist to work with the Aberdeen City Integrated Drug and Alcohol Service (DAS).
This post involves the delivery of occupation centred assessment and treatment. This will be underpinned by a populations based, public health perspective. Robust data gathering and outcome measures aligned to an occupation focussed model.
The Aberdeen City DAS are a supportive and approachable team with a broad range of knowledge and skills. The current team members comprise a Consultant Psychiatrist, Dr with specialist interest, Psychology, Community Nurses and Social Workers.
The post holder will have relevant experience working as an Occupational Therapist with, marginalised communities and individuals with complex needs, including co-morbidity of health problems. An understanding of how an occupational perspective can positively impact health inequalities, health and wellbeing and the recovery of those with substance use problems.
Applicants who are interested in applying on a part time, secondment or job share basis would be considered. Candidates should be aware that there will be a requirement to travel therefore holding a full driving licence is essential to this post.
Applicants must be registered with HCPC.
An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available to successful candidates
