Role Overview
Support Worker – Personal Assistant – Troon, Ayrshire.
- Location and Pay
- Rate of
Hours: Flexible – primarily 12‑hour shifts, with 24‑hour shifts available (typically 10 am–10 am).
Overnight shifts include a private room with a TV, storage and fresh bedding.
Most nights are quiet sleep shifts unless something urgent comes up.
- Job Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including showering, dressing and mobility assistance.
- Support morning and evening routines.
- Prepare meals and assist with meal times.
- Assist with light household tasks as needed.
- Maintain routine and help the client live independently.
- Candidate Qualifications
- Reliable, patient and adaptable.
- Easy‑going and comfortable following direction.
- Positive with a good sense of humour.
- Openness to learning and genuine willingness to help.
- Experience in care or support work is helpful but not essential.
- Application Requirements
Applicants must provide two up‑to‑date reference contacts, one of which must be from a present or previous employer.
A new PVG enhanced disclosure will be required before appointment; the cost will be borne by the employer.
Probationary period of 6 months.
Either party may end employment during this period by giving one week’s notice.
