Role Overview

Support Worker – Personal Assistant – Troon, Ayrshire.

Hours: Flexible – primarily 12‑hour shifts, with 24‑hour shifts available (typically 10 am–10 am).

Overnight shifts include a private room with a TV, storage and fresh bedding.

Most nights are quiet sleep shifts unless something urgent comes up.

  • Job Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care, including showering, dressing and mobility assistance.
  • Support morning and evening routines.
  • Prepare meals and assist with meal times.
  • Assist with light household tasks as needed.
  • Maintain routine and help the client live independently.
  • Candidate Qualifications
  • Reliable, patient and adaptable.
  • Easy‑going and comfortable following direction.
  • Positive with a good sense of humour.
  • Openness to learning and genuine willingness to help.
  • Experience in care or support work is helpful but not essential.
  • Application Requirements

Applicants must provide two up‑to‑date reference contacts, one of which must be from a present or previous employer.

A new PVG enhanced disclosure will be required before appointment; the cost will be borne by the employer.

Probationary period of 6 months.

Either party may end employment during this period by giving one week’s notice.
