Client Profile

I am an adult with high-functioning Asperger’s Syndrome. I am looking for practical and social support. The practical support will include grocery shopping, meal preparation and house chores. I have a variety of interests including computers and the internet. I can drive, and enjoy walking, travelling, visiting the cinema and socialising.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the client with practical and social support including grocery shopping, meal preparation, housekeeping, transportation, and social activities.
  • Provide companionship and support in a manner that encourages independence.

Qualifications

  • Friendly, good at communicating, includes use of positive body language and patience.
  • Basic understanding of Asperger’s or autism spectrum is helpful.

Requirements

  • Undergo a new PVG Disclosure; cost reimbursed in the first wage.
  • Provide two reference contacts prior to appointment.
  • Commit to a 6‑month probationary period with one week’s notice within that period if the post does not work out.
