Support workers required for various contracts in new service, working for an independent employer. Rota hours can be flexible in order to be of optimal benefit to both staff and the service. This can be discussed further at interview.
Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:
- Supporting me to lead an independent and fulfilling life.
- Supporting me to take part in activities that are important to me.
- Supporting me with domestic chores including washing, ironing and keeping my home and my car clean and tidy.
- Assisting with my personal care routine.
- Administering my medication.
- Driving my car (a full UK, manual driving license is essential).
- Budgeting my finances for weekly shopping and outings etc.
- Supporting me with meal preparation and encouraging me to eat a healthy, well-balanced diet.
Salary: £14.59 per hour day hours – £13.46 per hour sleepover rate.
Annual Leave: 5.6 weeks AIL entitlement pro-rata.
Days of work/times required: 24/7 support with sleepover hours (8 hours per night) and additional 2:1 hours for activities.
Job purpose: Encouraging me, reassuring me and helping me to take pride in myself and my surroundings. Supporting me socially and emotionally while promoting my well-being and enabling me to live a happy, healthy and enjoyable life.
Employer: You will be employed by the personal employer, who will be assisted to administer payroll and undertake the necessary employment support responsibilities by a relevant support organisation.
Probationary Period: There is a 6 month probationary period attached to the post. Successful applicants will have to undergo a new or update of the PVG disclosure scheme and supply 2 up to date reference contacts prior to appointment.

The successful applicants will have to undergo a new PVG Disclosure (or update), at the employer’s expense and supply 2 reference contacts prior to appointment and undergo relevant training. There is a 6-month probationary period attached to these posts with 1 week’s notice within that time if the post does not work out.
