Personal Assistant / Companion required to provide social support to a gentleman in Cumnock. The gentleman is very independent. He has a wheelchair which he only uses when necessary. He uses oxygen and may at times now feel up to going out, therefore companionship within his home is needed.
To provide social support, accompanying the gentleman on outings to golf / fishing (weather permitting) and to appointments. He also enjoys attending occasional poker nights on Thursdays. At times to assist with personal care, medication, making a meal / sandwich / drink.
Experience / Qualifications Required:
- Full Driving licence required, will occasionally have to drive the employer’s vehicle if he is unwell.
Qualities:
- Suitable for someone with a mature outlook who would feel comfortable supporting the employer at the above noted activities.
- Having an interest in golf would be a distinct advantage.
- Essential: reliable, trustworthy, respectful and aware of the importance of confidentiality.
There is a 6 month probationary period attached to this post.
Background checks:
Successful applicant will have to undergo a new or updated PVG disclosure scheme (employer will pay) as well as provide 2 up-to-date reference contacts. This position is subject to a 6 month probationary period.
