The predicted salary is between 12 - 16 £ per hour.

Support Worker – approx. 15 Hours Per Week Monday to Friday with extra weekend hours on occasion. Temp: – Minimum of 6 months with potential of permanent hours after this time ends. Hours will be discussed at interview stage, flexibility required to suit the needs of the employer. ROP: £12.60 per hour.

Personal Assistant required to support a lady with MND who lives with her husband. She is looking for support with personal care and also with aspects of independent living and socialising to allow her to continue to do things she enjoys.

Duties:

  • Support with personal care including assistance with washing hair, assistance with difficult items of clothing and assisting with all bathing.
  • Some household tasks including assistance with changing bed (daily), laundry and keeping floors clean where required.
  • Making or preparing light meals and snacks.
  • Going out for coffee, shopping to garden centres etc.

Experience / Qualifications Required:

  • Experience of supporting adults with health conditions/disabilities would be beneficial but is not a requirement for this post.
  • Moving & Assisting training may be required in the future (can be provided by employer).
  • Successful applicants will have to provide 2 references (one of which must be your current or most recent employer) and undergo a New PVG Disclosure at the employer's cost.
  • Applicants must be flexible regarding hours of work and be able to work extra hours in the event of the employer’s health deteriorating as she will require extra support.
  • In future, hours may increase and you must also be willing to cover holidays/sickness for other members of staff.
