Support Worker – Personal Assistant Position: Support Worker (approximately 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday with occasional extra weekend hours). This is a temporary role of a minimum of 6 months, with potential for permanent hours after that period. Pay: £12.60 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Support with personal care, including washing, assisting with difficult clothing items, bathing, and other personal hygiene tasks.
- Assist with household tasks such as changing bed daily, laundry, and maintaining clean floors where required.
- Prepare light meals and snacks.
- Accompany the client to coffee, shopping, garden centres and other social outings.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience supporting adults with health conditions or disabilities is beneficial but not required.
- Must provide two references, one of which must be from your current or most recent employer.
- Must undergo a New PVG Disclosure at the employer’s cost.
- Flexible and willing to work extra hours if the client’s health deteriorates; may also cover holidays and sickness for other staff members.
- Future training in Moving & Assisting may be required.
