Support Worker – approx. 15 Hours Per Week Monday to Friday with extra weekend hours on occasion. Temporary: Minimum of 6 months with potential of permanent hours after this time. Hours will be discussed at interview stage; flexibility required to suit the needs of the employer.
Pay: £12.60 per hour.
Personal assistant required to support a lady with MND who lives with her husband. The role involves support with personal care, aspects of independent living and socialising to allow her to continue to do activities she enjoys.
Duties:
- Support with personal care: washing hair, assisting with clothing and bathing.
- Household tasks: changing bed daily, laundry and keeping floors clean where required.
- Make or prepare light meals and snacks.
- Assist with outings such as coffee, shopping and garden centres, etc.
Experience / Qualifications Required:
- Experience supporting adults with health conditions/disabilities beneficial but not required.
- Moving & Assisting training may be required in the future (can be provided by employer).
- Provide two references (one of which must be your current or most recent employer).
- Undergo a New PVG Disclosure at the employer's cost.
Applicants must be flexible regarding hours of work and be able to work extra hours if the employer’s health deteriorates. In future, hours may increase and you must also be willing to cover holidays or sickness for other members of staff.
