Payroll Officer β 30 hours per week
Location: Ardrossan office

We are a registered charity, based in Ardrossan, and running a Payroll Service for Personal Assistant Employers.
Responsibilities
- Provide efficient and accurate support as part of the Payroll team processing payroll for over 400 clients employing Personal Assistants (PAs) for their care needs.
- Process variable pay instructions, received via paper forms, emails and online submission.
- Provide clients with payroll reports showing all employee related payments e.g. wages, statutory payments, tax & NI, pensions, other deductions etc.
- Record payroll information for AILN Managed payrolls.
- Record PA holidays and make any changes to contracts requested by employer.
- Perform bank reconciliations for Managed Banking clients.
- Work with external partners including HMRC, pension provider, funding providers, etc.
- Attend to any other duties instructed by the Payroll Manager or Supervisor.
- Maintain highest level of confidentiality relating to staff & clients.
Core Role & Duties
- Process payroll from timesheets.
- Adhere to all legal requirements and provide reports for clients and funding providers.
- Update client & PA records.
- Perform bank statement reconciliations; raise invoices or credit notes related to reconciliations.
- Advise clients & funders of low funds, calculate client fund reclaims when requested.
Qualifications
- Payroll qualification preferable or an equivalent level of qualification in a relevant subject.
Experience
- Prior payroll experience.
Specific Skills and Knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Competent in IT including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience working within a team providing coordinated support to both staff & clients.
- Willing to be flexible working hours to meet the needs of the AILN service.
