An autistic man in his thirties with a learning disability, residing in Largs, North Ayrshire. He values structure, routine, and predictability to feel safe and secure. He enjoys music, dance, swimming, trampolining, and indoor activities such as baking or arts and crafts. He thrives on fun and interaction and is best supported by clear verbal communication and a caring relationship.
Responsibilities
- Support independent living and fulfilment of daily life.
- Assist with activities of personal significance.
- Help with domestic chores such as washing, ironing, and maintaining a clean home and car.
- Assist with personal care routine and administer medication.
- Provide driving support (full UK manual licence required).
- Manage budgeting for weekly shopping and outings.
- Support meal preparation and encourage a healthy, balanced diet.

Experience

Requirements
- Full UK manual driving licence (mandatory).
- 3–month probationary period; successful candidates must complete a PVG disclosure or update and provide two reference contacts before appointment.
- Ready to perform 24/7 support, including 8‑hour sleepover hours and additional 2:1 hours for activities.
- Ability to support the individual’s well‑being, social and emotional needs, and promote independence.
Salary and Hours
- £14.59 per hour for day hours
- £13.46 per hour for sleepover rate
Annual Leave
5.6 weeks AIL entitlement pro-rata.
