About the Role
Female applicants only (Equality Act 2010). I am looking for a reliable and caring female personal assistant to support a young disabled woman in North Ayrshire. The role mainly covers evenings and alternate weekends, with some flexibility. Training will be given.
What You’ll Do
- Provide personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
- Support transfers between wheelchair, toilet, and bed
- Prepare simple meals
- Accompany employer on dog walks and clean up after the dog
- Light household tasks to keep the home tidy
- Help organise and order medication
- Assist with typing and basic admin
- Occasionally accompany the employer and family on holidays (paid, agreed in advance)
- Occasionally cover staff sickness/holiday
- Support with activities such as swimming, cinema, and days out (no need to be a strong swimmer - I stay in my depth)

- Comfortable around dogs
- UK driving license (Manual/Automatic)
Hours
Mostly evenings and weekends. Example rota:
Week 1: Mon & Tue: 7:30pm-10:30pm, Wed: 3pm-10pm
Week 2: Mon, Tue & Thu: 7:30pm-10:30pm, Alternate weekends: 9am-4pm or 7:30pm-10:30pm. Hours can be discussed at interview.
