We are seeking a digitally confident and imaginative Content & Digital Marketing Officer to join the Communications & Marketing Team at an exciting time for the Ayrshire Hospice. This role has a strong focus on social media and engaging digital storytelling, helping us share powerful stories about our clinical services, fundraising activity, retail (including our evolving Gargowan brand and café), and the impact of hospice care across Ayrshire and Arran.
Working within agreed marketing plans and brand guidelines, you will create and deliver high-quality content across digital platforms and marketing channels, bringing Hospice stories to life through video, photography, graphics and compelling written content. The post holder will report to the Head of Communications & Marketing and work collaboratively with colleagues across clinical, fundraising, retail and operational teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career marketer or content creator to build a varied and meaningful portfolio within a purpose-led organisation.
Please note: The role is based in Ayr; however, a degree of flexibility may be offered when needed and can be discussed further at interview.
Main Responsibilities- Manage the day-to-day operation of the Hospice's social media channels, including planning, scheduling and publishing engaging organic and paid content, in line with agreed plans and guidelines.
- Create original, platform-appropriate content including short-form video, photography, graphics and written stories designed to increase engagement and reach.
- Identify and contribute to storytelling opportunities across clinical services, fundraising, retail (including Gargowan and pre-loved), events and public awareness campaigns.
- Capture and edit multimedia content to support campaigns and promote Hospice services.
- Help maintain and update website content using the Hospice CMS (WordPress), ensuring content is accurate, accessible and engaging.
- Create engaging marketing emails that are suitable for a variety of target groups on our email marketing platform (MailChimp) and assist with data-pulls from our CRM system (ThankQ).
- Support digital fundraising activity, including updating online event and campaign pages (e.g. Funraisin platform).
- Monitor digital performance using analytics tools and contribute to regular reporting on audience engagement and growth.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across clinical, fundraising and retail teams to gather stories and develop content ideas.
- Ensure all content reflects Hospice brand guidelines, tone and values.
- Support the development of marketing collateral for campaigns and events as required.
- Provide practical support at Hospice events, including capturing live content where appropriate.
- Degree, HNC, or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or relevant experience) — Essential
