You will contribute to ensuring a positive learning environment, which encourages active participation and enables all learners to achieve their full potential, through the effective learning and teaching of students by assisting in the development, delivery and assessment of relevant resources. This will involve supporting the Curriculum Quality Manager in the delivery of the department curriculum to the quality and standards required, through an integrated learning experience that supports the student journey and high quality learning and teaching.
Your delivery of learning and teaching will develop and build on students’ digital skills, so that they are supported to engage effectively in their learning, and embrace technological change now and in the future. You will be qualified to HNC level in Professional Cookery or equivalent, along with substantial relevant industry experience. The ability to teach a broad range of practical and theoretical subjects associated within a kitchen environment is essential, and experience within the areas of bakery, food and beverage service and hospitality management would be advantageous.
You should have a comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office, high quality ICT skills to facilitate blended learning along with excellent motivational, communication and organisational skills. Teaching experience is desirable but not essential.
