Overview
Are you passionate about making pets a priority? Here at CVS, so are we! We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for animals to join us as a Veterinary Receptionist at Ayres Veterinary Centre & Hospital.
Location: To be based across our hospital and our other 3 branches
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 25 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday, with shifts between 07:30 – 21:00, and including a 1:5 share in the Weekend rota

About the role
Day-to-day duties of the role will include:
- Answering phones and booking appointments
- Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
- Registering new clients
- Completing insurance forms
- Dispensing medications
- Taking payments
- Providing a warm and welcoming experience to clients arriving at the practice
What we\’re looking for in our Veterinary Receptionist
- Previous Receptionist experience is essential, veterinary experience is a plus
- As you will be covering our 4 sites, a driving licence is essential for this position
- Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
- An excellent communicator with strong empathy
- Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
- A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
