Ayr Racecourse & Western House Hotel requires a part-time dynamic experienced Sales Executive to join our busy Sales and Marketing Team. Scotland's Premier Racecourse, Ayr has 30 fixtures throughout the year and hosts both the Coral Scottish Grand National Festival and Virgin Bet Ayr Gold Cup Festival. The Racecourse is also home to the biggest conference and events centre outside of a major city while the multi-award winning four-star Western House Hotel is one of the country's leading wedding venues.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for a pro-active, highly motivated individual with sales experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging new and existing audiences to drive sales across our entire portfolio including race sponsorship, hospitality & admission sales, and conference and events.
Responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining a good relationship with existing customers
- Proactively seeking new opportunities, sectors, and clients
- Assisting with other general sales and marketing responsibilities
Skills and experience required are, but are not limited to:
- Ability to demonstrate a proven track record in sales, preferably within the leisure sector
- Experience in new business development and account management
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational & time management skills
- IT – an understanding of CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and social platforms
- Interest or experience in horseracing and/or hotel industry would be advantageous but not essential
