We’re looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join ourGround TeamatAyr Racecourse, Scotland’s Premier Racecourse.
This is afull-time role (37.5 hours per week), ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
The Role:
You’ll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of duties in preparation for racedays and other major events, as well as day-to-day ground maintenance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Turf and ground maintenance
- Preparation of the course and surrounding areas for racedays and events
- Mowing, weed control, hedge cutting and trimming
- General upkeep of outdoor areas
- Working independently and as part of a team
- Adhering to health and safety standards at all times
What we’re looking for:
- A positive, motivated attitude
- Experience or interest in turf management
- Enjoys working outdoors in all conditions
- Ability to work both solo and within a team
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
- Good knowledge of health and safety in the workplace
Qualifications:
- Qualifications in turf management arepreferred but not essential
- PA1 and PA6 spraying certificatespreferred but not essential
