Job Description

Ayming UK is looking for an R&D Consultant to join our thriving team in the heart of London.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Client‑facing: Client relationship building throughout the sales and production process. This includes regular correspondence for claim‑related information and liaising directly with government task authorities on their behalf.
  • Subject matter expert: A technical understanding of your specialism, with working knowledge of consulting processes.
  • Report and claim management: Support in creating structured claim reports, R&D project descriptions and justifications, and claims adjustments based on determined tax liability.
  • Aware and informed: Well‑versed in current affairs and innovative development across key global sectors.

Qualifications

  • Professional Experience: A minimum of 2 years\’ experience, preferably within the mechanical engineering industry.
  • Strong Academic Foundation: A degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • Collaborative & Dependable: Works well in teams, aligns with client needs, and follows structured methodologies.
  • Proactive Learner & Problem Solver: Demonstrates curiosity, critical thinking, and initiative in tackling challenges and learning about R&D tax.
