With a team of over 1,500 experts in Innovation, HR, and Taxes across 14 countries; our three delivery modes are: consulting services, digital services and managed services.

Job Description

Are you a recent STEM graduate with a passion for innovation? Ayming UK is looking for an R&D Tax Associate Consultant to join its thriving team in the heart of London.

According to HMRC, Research and Development (R&D) occurs when a project aims to advance overall knowledge or capability in its field. So, working in R&D tax, you will consult with clients leading cutting‑edge industry developments, actively driving, and pushing boundaries in innovation globally.

With seven years of consistent year‑on‑year growth, Ayming is the perfect place to upskill and specialise in R&D tax. Defying the industry trend of stagnant salaries and shrinking opportunities, Ayming continues to soar, and we’re looking for eager and ambitious talent to take us to the next level.

As the UK’s leading R&D tax consultancy, we regularly win engagements against Big‑4 incumbents and give you genuine responsibility from Day One. You’ll play an active part in major engagements, not just number crunch, and you’ll learn how to provide specialist advice to our clients on the technical, tax, and financial aspects of R&D tax reliefs. Join Ayming and take this fantastic opportunity to work with big‑name clients across key sectors and make a real impact.

Responsibilities

  • Client Facing: Client relationship building throughout the sales and production process. This includes training on correspondence processes for claim‑related information.
  • Subject Matter Expert: A technical understanding of your specialism with enthusiasm to approach it from a consulting lens.
  • Report and Claim Management: Support the team in creating structured claim reports, R&D project descriptions, and claims adjustments.

Qualifications

Experience and Requirements:

  • STEM‑related bachelor, MSc/PhD graduate is preferable.

Skills and Personal Qualities:

  • Dependable: You align with client needs, adhere to reporting methodology, and collaborate among team members on projects and rationales.
  • Critical Thinker: Able to research, investigate, and solve problems using available resources.
  • Eager to Learn: Open, excited, and willing to learn more about the R&D tax space and its applications across different industries.
  • Proactive: Proactively engage in tasks, research, and with clients.
