This is a hybrid role offering flexibility while maintaining a strong on-site presence where it matters most. You’ll balance operational HR delivery with strategic input, ensuring policies, processes, and people practices are legally compliant, scalable, and genuinely engaging. You’ll be a trusted advisor to leaders, a go-to for employees, and a key driver of our ambition to be an employer of choice.

The HR Team consists of the HR Manager and two direct reports; a Senior HR Administrator and Office Administrator. If you thrive in complexity, enjoy rolling up your sleeves, and love shaping modern HR across diverse settings — we’d love to hear from you.

  • A proactive communication style – regularly engaging with and keeping the senior leadership team informed, aligned, and supported
  • Emotional resilience – maintaining perspective, professionalism, and momentum when navigating complexity or change
  • Adaptability and comfort with evolving priorities – able to operate confidently in dynamic environments and bring clarity through periods of change
  • Credible influencing skills – confident in offering constructive challenge, presenting alternative viewpoints, and shaping decisions through insight and evidence
What You’ll Do:

As HR Manager, you’ll take ownership across the full HR lifecycle, including:

Employee Relations & Advisory
  • Act as a first point of contact for employees alongside HR Administrators
  • Provide expert HR advice to managers on ER, performance, attendance, and complex casework
Recruitment, Retention & Workforce Planning
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment: sourcing, interviewing, onboarding
  • Develop workforce plans aligned to business and departmental needs
HR Operations, Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure HR policies, processes, and document controls meet current employment legislation, GDPR, and ISO 9001
  • Maintain accurate personnel and training records
  • Oversee HR administration, timekeeping, weekly & monthly payroll coordination ensuring accurate information is provided to the Payroll Manager, and benefits
Performance, Reward & Development
  • Support performance management, OKRs, reviews, and bonus processes
  • Partner with the Group Head of Internal Operations and Talent on learning, development, and career growth initiatives
  • Contribute to pay and reward strategy, including annual reward statements
Engagement, Culture & Change
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives across on-site and remote teams
  • Lead by example, role-modelling company values and professional standards
  • Support HR projects, working parties, and continuous improvement initiatives
Data, Systems & Insight
  • Leverage HRIS platforms and digital tools (Microsoft 365 / Teams)
  • Analyse and report HR data to support benchmarking, strategy, and decision-making
Leadership & Delivery
  • Line manage and support HR team members and partners
  • Manage delegated budgets, contracts, and third-party providers
  • Proactively identify and manage people-related risk
What We’re Looking For:Experience & Knowledge
  • CIPD qualified
  • 5+ years’ HR experience, including at least 2 years in a Business Partner or equivalent role
  • Experience of working in multi-site and hybrid or remote setting
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Strong IT literacy across Microsoft 365 & Teams
  • Project management capability and experience influencing senior stakeholders
  • Experience across HRIS platforms, and digital collaboration tools

  • Comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
